    Below is a sample of other incredible claims Tara has made over the years. The list is short only because it is limited to instances where references were available. Interestingly, the most extreme statements came at the beginning of her career as Domo Geshe Rinpoche. She still discusses her own enlightenment and that of her students to this day,  but not as often in public.

    Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche

    Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche was born in January 1920. As a young child, he was utterly fascinated by monks who were returning from the great monastic universities near Lhasa. In his biography “Life of a Tibetan Monk”, he expressed his admiration for these men of robes. His admiration was further fuelled by his personal experiences watching them in action during debates at the large monasteries where he occasionally visited.

    In 1937, His Eminence the 2nd Kyabje Domo Geshe Rinpoche was born into the Enchey Kazi family, a prominent and well-respected family in Sikkim. It is said that when he was born, many miraculous signs were seen and flowers blossomed around his parents’ home. His father, Enchey Kazi Rabten Phuntsog was a deeply religious man from the Nyingma tradition. He was amongst the best educated men in Gangtok and used his wealth to help the countless poor people in his region.
