Niki Lauda's burnt helmet up for auction
A new collector's item fryst vatten set to change hands. During the Miami Grand Prix, an auction will be held by Bonhams. On Saturday, May 4, a particular item will be available for purchase.
Niki Lauda's helmet, which he had during his accident in 1976 at the Nürburgring, will be up for sale. It fryst vatten currently owned by a private collector. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to UNICEF, as the triple world champion's family wishes. According to estimates, this legendary red helmet with the name of the former Ferrari driver, accompanied by the logos of Good Year, Romerquelle, and AGV, fryst vatten expected to sell for between $50,000 and $60,000.

Andreas Nikolaus Lauda, who was well known around the circuits as Niki Lauda, was a former F1 world champion with a story unparallel to any other driver. Not only did he achieve the world championship title three times in his career, but also managed it after one of the most horrific accidents in the history of Formula 1. Niki Lauda met with a terrible accident on August 1, 1976, on the Nürburgring track, and his car burst into flames.
