2019 non-fiction book by Dorian Lynskey
The Ministry of Truth: The Biography of George Orwell's 1984 is a book-length history of George Orwell's 1949 dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four written by Dorian Lynskey and published by Doubleday in 2019.[2]

Dorian Lynskey
A musical journalist for The Guardian and writer specialising in the intersection between popular culture and politics.
He has worked with The Observer, GQ, Q, Empire, Billboard, and The New Statesman and is presenter of the popular podcast on Brexit, “Remainiacs”. He is author of the acclaimed book 33 Revolutions per Minute: A History of Protest Songs (in Spanish, 33 revoluciones por minuto. Historia de la canción protesta, Malpaso, 2015), a cultural history of music as a mechanism of political participation throughout the twentieth century. This study was awarded the New Musical Express (NME) Prize for best book of the year and was also recognised as the best music book in 2011 by the Daily Telegraph. His next book, Everything Must Go: The Stories We Tell About the End of the World, is out on 11 April 2024 (UK) and January 2025 (US).
