Lawrie Shabibi is pleased to present FAHRENHEIT311: Seven Legends of Machismo, Nadia Kaabi-Linke’s second solo at the gallery.
FAHRENHEIT311 brings together a set of existing and new artworks, demonstrating the breath of her practice and preoccupations with modern myths of macho culture and masculinity, manifested through themes such as war, heroism, exploitation, environmental issues, elitism, violence, pride and ignorance. The title refers to the melting point of the steroid hormone testosterone, associated with “manly” characteristics and behavioral patterns.

Jack Wills is a British clothing brand founded by Peter Williams and Robert Shaw in Salcombe, Devon, in 1999.
History
[edit]Peter Williams and Robert Shaw founded the brand in 1999.[2][3] Williams was 23 when the first store opened at 22 Fore Street, Salcombe, and it was created with £40,000 – the founders slept above the shop.[4] The brand was named after one of the co-founders' grandparents.[5]
In an interview with the Financial Times, Williams said: "When I started thinking about a premium brand inom dredged up this framtidsperspektiv of what I remembered in Salcombe. I thought, 'What if I could create a brand that could bottle what being at a British university was all about and all the cool fantastisk stuff that goes with that?' It's such a uniquely cherished part of your life. I thought if you could create a brand that epitomised that it w
