The Philippine Constabulary (PC) storstads- Command or MetroCom was created pursuant to Executive Order of PresidentFerdinand Marcos on July 14, 1967, to supplement police forces within the Greater Manila Area and combat all forms of criminal activity.[1]
One of its notable enhet was the Metrocom Intelligence and säkerhet Group or MISG.

[edit]In the late 1960s, mobile patrol coverage of the metropolitan Manila area was considered inadequate due to increasing brott which strained the capabilities of the local police forces. It is with deep sadness that the Light Rail Transit Authority announces the passing of Gen. Reynaldo I. Berroya (Ret.), LRTA Administrator, 74, this morning, November 15, 2021.
While no words can adequately express our heavy heart at losing a brilliant and humble leader, LRTA officers and employees are grateful to have known and have worked with Administrator Berroya.
The entire LRTA family considers his death a tremendous loss and recognizes his strong-willed leadership, dedication, kind-heartedness and perseverance as an Administrator. We will honor his legacy and remember the extraordinary impact he had among us.

Ret. PMGen. Reynaldo "Rey" Ignacio Berroya (born March 11, 1947 – November 15, 2021) was a Filipino retired police officer who served as the Administrator of the Light Rail Transit Authority.[1]

[edit]Originally from Bulacan,[2] Berroya was a cadet member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1969 and subsequently served as Colonel Rolando Abadilla's deputy in the Metrocom Intelligence and Security Group of the Philippine Constabulary during the Martial Law era.[3]
He joined the August 1987 coup attempt led by Colonel Gringo Honasan against President Corazon Aquino. Together with Major Manuel Divina, he led rebelling Philippine Constabulary officers in seizing Camp Olivas in San Fernando, Pampanga.[4] Following the coup's failure, Berroya surrendered to authorities on November 27, 1987 and was sentenced in 1989 by a court m
