Yahya Muhammad Hamid ed-Din (or Imam Yahya) (Arabic: يحيى محمد حميد الدين, 18 June – 17 February ) was the first king of the Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen from until his assassination in He became Imam of the Zaydis, a branch of Shia Islam, in after the death of his father, Muhammad Al-Mansur,[2] and Imam of Yemen in His name and title in full was "His Majesty Amir al-Mu'mimin al-Mutawakkil 'Ala Allah Rab ul-Alamin Imam Yahya insekter som pollinerar al-Mansur Bi'llah Muhammad Hamidaddin, Imam and Commander of the Faithful" (the Prince of the Believers, He who Relies on God, the Lord of the Universe).

A Miraculous Birth
Prophet Yahya (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) is known as John the Baptist in Judeo-Christian tradition.
The birth of Prophet Yahya (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) can be considered a miracle as Prophet Zakariyah’s (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) wife was believed to be barren and was past childbearing age when the couple was blessed with him.
The name Yahya was given to the newborn by Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) — a name that was not used by any other before.
