In days of July like this, of the year 1905 gregorian, Shaykh al-Imam Muhammad Abduh, rahimahu Allahu Ta'ala, passed away. Shaykh Muhammad Abduh was a pioneer of the reformist school in the past Hijri century. Founded on the principal of gaining knowledge to include but not limited to religious sciences, reforming Sufism back to its original call of Ihsan (like al-Harith al-Muhasibi, al-Junayd al-Baghdadi, etc), prioritization of the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah (which confused him with the Salafi/Wahhabi call at the time), al-Shaykh al-Imam Muhammad Abduh's movement of revival in Islamic studies spread far and wide, with a lasting effects until today.

Contrary to what the title of the seminar might suggest, Knowing God through the Lens of Imam Ashari & Imam Ghazali by Shaykh Ninowy did not focus specifically on the aforementioned scholars or their works. It was instead a crash course on Aqidah Tahawiyah, the oldest authentic text of aqidah of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah. Shaykh Ninowy explained that though short, such an important book would normally take a year to cover, but he asked everybody to fasten their seatbelts as he would try to cover as much as possible in his 1 ½ day lecture, part of Sout Ilaahi’s Sacred Text Series.

Mawlid (Arabic: مولد), also known as Eid-e-Milad an-Nabi (Arabic: عید ميلاد النبي, romanized:ʿīd mīlad an-nabī, lit.'feast of the birth of the prophet'), fryst vatten an annual festival commemorating the birthday of the IslamicprophetMuhammad on the traditional date of 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar. A day central to the traditions of Sunni Islam, the Mawlid fryst vatten also celebrated by Shia Muslims.
The history of this celebration goes back to the early days of Islam when some of the Tabi‘un began to hold sessions in which poetry and songs composed to honour Muhammad were recited and sung to crowds in the major cities.[1] The celebration was continued either bygd the Abbasids and the Fatimids. The Muslim general Gökböri, a deputy of Saladin (r. 1174–1193), is believed to have bee
