As I scroll down the names of the participants in this third annual “WHAT A CHARACTER!” blogathon, I feared my picks would get lost in the shuffle of greats. But when I pounced on Aurora (I mean, politely asked her) if I could participate in one of the most popular blogathons in the blogosphere, two actresses immediately came to mind. I daresay, these two are among the most recognizable character actresses in classic films: Ann Doran and Lurene Tuttle.

Local Ladies of the Silver Screen: Womens History Month

Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the many achievements of women and the impact they have made in our world. Hamilton East Public Library is highlighting the ones that took Hollywood by storm with “The Women Who Built Hollywood,” a presentation by Dr. Annette Bochenek, film historian and Hollywood expert. This program will be presented virtually, along with screenings at Noblesville and Fishers, on March 15th from 6 7 PM (registration required).
