    Charges filed vs assailants of Rosario, Cavite mayor's 7 campaign supporters

    The Rosario Municipal Police Station and Special Intelligence Task Group (SITG) filed this week criminal charges for seven counts of murder and frustrated murder against the suspects who shot dead seven people and the wounding of another, all supporters of Rosario Mayor Jose "Nonong" Ricafrente and Vice Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente on the eve of the May 9 elections in a village here.

    In a report on Tuesday, the Rosario police said they are filing criminal complaints against the identified suspects in violation of Article 248 (Murder) of the country's Revised Penal Code.

    Thorough investigation of the Rosario Municipal Police Station and SITG identified the suspects as Jose Arvin Prodigalidad Guhit; Fernando Aseo Jimenez; Reynan Ledesma Abutan; and several John Does under docket no. IV-03-INV-16F-1883 subscribed by Prosecutor I Donnalee G. Silanga-Magango.
