Hospice of the Valley auction nets over $, for dementia care

Our community turned out in spectacular fashion to raise a record $, for Hospice of the Valley’s innovative dementia care programs.
The not-for-profit helps people living with all types of dementia from the time of diagnosis and also supports their caregivers.
An enthusiastic crowd of gathered at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn on March 12, to bid on paintings, exclusive trips, jewelry and a fabulous dining experience featuring the culinary talents of Barbara Fenzl and honored guest, Chef Mark Tarbell.
Recognized for his many years of community service, Tarbell was toasted via video by fellow chefs Beau MacMillan, Vincent Guerithault, Christopher Gross, Stephen Jones, Charlene Badman and Jacques Pepin.

WILLIAMSPORT - Lynn S. (Bickert) Cooney, 63, passed away Saturday, February 13, at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit.
She was born on September 25, in Bethlehem, PA and was the daughter of the late Carl S. and Georgine M. (Kramm) Bickert, Sr. She graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem. Lynn had a passion for art where she enjoyed drawing, coloring and pastels. She also loved anything that had to do with turtles. She enjoyed cooking and always enjoyed having huge family functions where she could show off her cooking. She also loved her cats Penny and Charlie. But, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Lynn is survived by two daughters; Sheri L. Davis (Robert Jones) of Bethlehem and Kristin A. Morrill (Christopher Sharpe) of Williamsport, six grandchildren; Michael Morrill, Kole Hammersmith, Leland Morrill, Elijah Sharpe, Kevin Jones and Scarlett Sharpe, two brothers; Robert Bickert (Sueann) of Richmond, VA and Carl Bickert,

Light Up A Life Community Remembrance Event Goes Virtual Nov. 22

The global pandemic has changed the way we work, play and live…and, no doubt, will alter the way we celebrate the holiday season.
Hospice of the Valleytraditionally holds an annual community event right before Thanksgiving — a special time of coming together to remember our loved ones who have passed, but still live in our hearts.
This årstid, Light Up A Life will be a virtual event. Instead of a gathering of nearly 2, atSteele Indian School Park, families can tune intoAZTV Channel 7and watch the program from the bekvämlighet and safety of home. Light Up A Life will air Sunday, Nov. 22, from 5–6pm.
As always, families can anticipate seeing their loved one’s picture appear in a photographic montage set to beautiful music.
